Vikas Shukla is the Chief Executive Officer of MS First Capital Insurance Limited (MSFC), appointed in July 2024. He is an insurance and risk specialist with nearly 38 years of experience in the non‑life insurance industry across multiple territories, including senior leadership roles and work as an international insurance management consultant. A seasoned leader with deep experience in insurance industry, Vikas brings a strategic mindset combined with hands-on operational expertise. He holds a strong belief in ethical leadership, accountability, and continuous improvement. As the CEO, Vikas is responsible for delivering MSFC’s 2029 growth ambitions and leading its transformation agenda. Under his leadership, MSFC has established itself as a Centre of Excellence for the development of large and complex business through the network of MSI business units under MSIG Asia. Atsuhiro Saeki is an accomplished insurance executive with over 15 years of global leadership experience across Asia and Europe. He currently serves as Executive Director at MS First Capital Insurance Ltd in Singapore, where he brings a strategic mindset and deep industry expertise to drive sustainable growth and organizational excellence. His distinguished career within the Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Group (MSIG) spans senior roles such as General Manager of Strategic Planning at MSIG Singapore, Vice President at MSIG Thailand, and management positions in London, Kyoto, and Tokyo. These diverse assignments have equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of international markets and corporate strategy. Beyond industry leadership, Saeki enriched his global perspective as a Visiting Scholar at Columbia Business School’s Center on Japanese Economy and Business. Passionate about aligning local operations with global strategy, he is dedicated to building resilient teams and delivering long-term value across markets. Angeline brings more than 30 years of distinguished experience in the insurance sector to her role as Chief Financial Officer of Singapore’s leading insurance company, a position she has held since 2015. She has built her career under the guidance of insurance specialists, developing a deep and comprehensive understanding of the financial and operational mechanics that underpin the insurance business. Throughout her tenure, Angeline has been instrumental in shaping and influencing financial strategies that support sustainable growth, operational resilience, and long-term shareholder value. Her leadership is marked by a commitment to rigorous financial stewardship, regulatory compliance, and strategic foresight, ensuring the company’s continued position at the forefront of the industry. Beyond her professional responsibilities, Angeline enjoys listening to music and photography. Oi Leng leads the underwriting function for the company. She remains inspired by the meaningful opportunity to engage with a broad spectrum of international and local business sectors. Oi Leng holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the National University of Singapore and brings over 30 years of experience in the general insurance industry, having held underwriting roles with several insurers in Singapore. Since joining MSFC two decades ago, she has built a career grounded in a deep understanding of clients across diverse industries and countries. Prior to her current role, she progressed through various underwriting positions within the industry, beginning her career in 1993. Throughout her tenure, she has remained motivated by the continuous learning opportunities inherent in the underwriting profession. Michael oversees enterprise risk management and regulatory compliance under the oversight of MAS. He reports to the CEO and the Board’s Risk Management Committee, leading the company’s risk governance, risk appetite framework, and internal controls across all risk categories. Michael brings over 25 years of experience in insurance and reinsurance risk management across the Asia Pacific region. Having held senior risk leadership positions, including Chief Risk Officer and Regional Head of Risk, at several leading global insurance and reinsurance groups, his expertise spans property & casualty and life insurance, covering financial risks, operational risk, solvency management, and regulatory compliance. Michael holds a Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University. He is a Professional Risk Manager (PRM) with PRMIA, a Fellow of ANZIIF, and holds a Diploma in Compliance with the International Compliance Association. Sourabh leads the technology function encompassing applications, infrastructure, security, data and digital. He is currently building the technology organization and contributing to the company’s business transformation vision. He brings more than two decades of experience, including 18 years in the insurance industry with global carriers such as Allianz and Liberty Mutual. Having lived and worked across India, the UK, Germany, and Singapore, he has held several local, regional, and global leadership roles managing various facets of technology and insurance operations. Sourabh is recognized for aligning technology strategy with business objectives such as building agile operating models, simplifying legacy landscapes, and turning innovation into measurable business value. Sourabh holds an Executive MBA from Singapore Management University and an Engineering degree from Kuvempu University, India. He also holds executive certifications from Cornell University, the McCombs School of Business at the UT Austin, and INSEAD, along with technical certifications from AWS and ITIL v3 Expert. Outside of his professional life, he is passionate about travel, horology, and nature walks. Kapil is responsible for leading the underwriting, claims, and accounts functions for regional Property, Casualty, and Marine portfolios at MS First Capital Insurance. He plays a key role in strategic planning, exposure management, and reinsurer relationship development, while ensuring compliance with regulatory and group requirements. Kapil brings along more than 20 years of experience across Asia, specializing in underwriting and treaty broking. He is recognized for his strong analytical and negotiation skills, as well as his deep expertise in portfolio management. He contributes actively as a member of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Reserving Committees. His leadership ensures that treaty operations remain robust and aligned with the company’s long-term financial stability. Kapil holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering. He is also a professionally qualified Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) and a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India (FIII). Outside of his professional life, he finds balance through painting and meditation. Mary Nelson oversees the full spectrum of motor claims assessment, ensuring all processes comply with MS First Capital Insurance’s policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements. In her leadership role, she manages complex and high‑value cases, provides guidance on escalated customer disputes, and upholds the highest standards of transparency and professional integrity. With over 40 years of Motor Claims experience, Mary brings deep institutional knowledge and continuity to the organisation. Her key strengths include effective stakeholder communication, conflict resolution, and assigning responsibilities aligned to individuals’ strengths and expertise. She is widely recognized for her high emotional intelligence and commitment to staff development, ensuring that team concerns are addressed while navigating operational challenges with a solutions-oriented approach. Outside of her professional life, Mary enjoys spinning and reading non-fiction, activities that keep her energised, grounded and continuously learning. Neelamalar leads the management of complex hull incidents, including major machinery breakdowns, collisions, groundings, and CTL assessments. In her role, she collaborates closely with legal advisors, loss adjusters, and technical experts to ensure precise decision-making and strong governance. She also works closely with underwriting teams to share critical insights into claims trends and risk quality. She brings years of experience as a Marine Hull Claims professional with expertise in managing claims across the global maritime industry. She specializes in delivering fair, timely, and technically sound claim resolutions while protecting both client relationships and insurer interests. Neelamalar began her career with India International Insurance as a Claims Executive in Marine Hull Claims. In 2006, she joined MS First Capital Insurance to oversee both Marine Hull Underwriting and Claims before being assigned to manage Hull Claims in 2017. Off work, she enjoys practicing yoga and spending quality time with her family and pets. David Lau oversees the progress of both direct and reinsurance claims at MS First Capital Insurance, ensuring all assessments align with policy terms and recovery opportunities are maximized to protect clients’ interests. He leads the Non-Motor Claims Team in their daily operations, keeping the team updated on new processes, while supporting the company’s overall operational efficiency. David brings a unique multidisciplinary background to his role, with a career spanning engineering, infrastructure, and insurance. As an experienced professional in the claims space, he has managed diverse portfolios including Construction All Risks (CAR), Property, Energy, and SME claims. Prior to his current appointment, David served as a Manager at AIG (Property & Energy) and previously held the role of Senior Claims Executive at MSFC. Before transitioning into the insurance industry, he built a strong technical foundation as a Senior Loss Adjuster and an engineer, where he served as a Graduate Engineer for a state authority and an Associate Engineer in a local wafer company managing production tool conversions. David holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Outside of his professional life, he enjoys staying active through sports and exploring new places. As Head of Legal, Shelley is responsible for supervising and handling litigated and liability claims, including complex and high-value claims. She joined MS First Capital Insurance in 2018 as Legal Officer and her team drafts, reviews and advises on contractual matters between the company and external parties. Before joining us, Shelley worked in private practice in Singapore for numerous years, during which a large part of her work was on insurance-related litigation. She holds a Bachelor of Laws degree in UK and was called to the bar both in Malaysia and Singapore. Outside of work, she enjoys the great outdoors from hiking, gardening and chilling at the beach with a book. Cordianne heads the HR function and is responsible for shaping and executing the organisation’s human capital strategy. With over 30 years of broad-based HR expertise under her belt, she brings extensive experience in regional roles across multiple industries, including the Financial Services and reinsurance sectors. She is focused on driving organisational development and people transformation, and she plays a pivotal role in aligning talent, culture, and capabilities to support the company’s long-term vision and achieving its Ambition 2029. Cordianne holds a Master of Science in Management Studies from the University of Wales (Swansea) and is a certified practitioner of MBTI?. Tan Wee Heng oversees the full spectrum of internal audit activities at MS First Capital Insurance (MSFC). In this leadership role, he is responsible for audit planning, risk assessment, and the execution of audit engagements, while reporting directly to senior management and the Board Audit Committee. Wee Heng brings extensive audit experience across the insurance and banking sectors, having built a career grounded in analytical rigor, professional scepticism, and a solutions‑oriented mindset. His key strengths include risk‑based auditing, fraud risk management, IT and cybersecurity audits, regulatory compliance assessments, and the ability to design and enhance internal control environments. Wee Heng holds multiple globally recognised qualifications, including Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), and Chartered Accountant (CA). Outside of his professional life, he is an avid traveller and photographer. He enjoys immersing himself in diverse cultures and landscapes, using photography as a medium to document his experiences. Harjit leads the corporate secretarial and governance function, with responsibility for the Company’s Board and governance processes to support effective decision-making and regulatory compliance. She works closely with the Board, senior management and functional heads to facilitate robust governance arrangements and the implementation of sound governance practices. Harjit brings over 15 years of experience in corporate governance and more than 25 years of corporate secretarial practice across multinational and regulated organisations. She has supported Boards and Committees at local, regional, and global levels, with experience across Singapore, Hong Kong, and other international jurisdictions. Harjit holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of London and is a Fellow of the Chartered Secretaries Institute of Singapore. Outside of work, she enjoys yoga, brisk walking and reading. Sreekanth is responsible for overseeing regulatory compliance, data protection matters, and the organisation’s key compliance. His responsibilities include delivering training on various topics such as AML/CFT, PDPA, customer complaint and feedback management, and information security. He also reviews sanctions and screening results, manages regulatory licences, and supports adherence to internal policies and external regulatory requirements. Before joining MS First Capital Insurance, Sreekanth was practicing law in India. He progressed through roles as Paralegal, Claims Executive, and Senior Legal Executive, gaining practical experience in legal processes, claims handling, and insurance operations. He holds a BA LLB (Hons) and professional certifications including Cert CII, BCP, PGI, Com GI, the Practitioner Certificate in Personal Data Protection (Singapore), and the CAMS certification in anti‑money laundering. Outside of work, he enjoys long drives, motorcycle riding, photography, and temple visits. He also participates in intercultural community initiatives and actively volunteers with NLB’s KidsREAD program at DSA.
